Whether preparing for an audition or diving into scene work, the tools that Valentina Fratti uses in coaching come from training based in various methodologies. Her work with younger students and beginners includes breathing techniques, sense memory, and substitution exercises. Her focus is on guiding the actors to find the truth in a scene or monologue. She strongly relies on text analysis and moment-to-moment work, encouraging actors to find freedom within structure.

Scene Study Workshop

During this class actors hone their text analysis skills, immerse themselves in moment to moment work with fellow actors, reinforce techniques of listening and reacting, and work on clarifying objectives, and making active choices. Classes are kept to ten students to ensure individual attention.    

  • 4-week session, each session is 3 hours
